Established the state-of-the-art ‘Next-Generation Genomics Facility’ at C-CAMP/NCBS, Bengaluru.
Led the Plant Genome Sequencing program in India: Sequenced Rice, Tulsi, Neem, Sandalwood, Bhodi Tree, etc.
Developed several genomic technologies to sequence DNA (HLA-typing, ddRAD, Infectious virus, AFLP, etc) and RNA (Full length mRNA, SAGE, 5’-RATE, CPA-sRNA, RNASeq).
Integrated functional genomics into International Rice Genome Sequencing project at Michigan State University, USA.
Worked with over 100 research organizations in India for sequencing of humans, animals, plants and microbes.
