Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Corporate Social Responsibility is a key avenue for the corporate world to commit to active philanthropy that will help address local and global issues of promoting preventive healthcare, maintaining ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, protection of national heritages, conservation of natural resources, educating women & children and livelihood enhancement. By investing your CSR fund in innovative institutions like The Institute of Trans Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU), you can stimulate innovative solutions to address those issues. The investment will also provide you with new business ideas, access to the University’s technical expertise, and opportunities for research and development collaboration. TDU has identified thematic areas as part of its strategic plan into which donors contribute. Some of these thematic areas relevant to CSR funding along with the relevant clauses these areas are legislated under Schedule VII are as listed below;
You are free to choose one or more thematic areas to support based on your identified priorities and actively contribute to that area over a period of time. TDU will work with you to arrive at SMART goals that we can achieve together and is measurable so as to ascertain the success of our engagement. While measuring social performance is challenging, we will develop tools that you can use to estimate the societal impact of you philanthropic activities with TDU.
Become a “Champion” for Revitalizing India’s Medical Heritage
Your pledged donation of $240,000 per year (or $20,000 each month) for a 5-year period towards a thematic area of work at TDU will provide funding for designing research, education and outreach programs, volunteer activities, social events, experiential outings, staffing and other forms of support for students, communities, traditional healers and conservationists depending on the thematic area.
In return for your generous donation, you will be given a profile of the theme you are championing, which will include the societal impact of the thematic intervention, sponsored team’s profiles, capacity building outcomes, SMART metrics of the intervention outcomes and a personal note from our Vice Chancellor on successes, challenges and contribution of that intervention in revitalizing India’s medical heritage. You will be enrolled into TDU’s Founders Club recognition that will enable you to receive all the member benefits. You will also be invited to the annual “Breakfast of Champions” held each year in the January where, you will meet the intervention teams, community leaders or students sponsored for whom participation in your CSR donation has been a life-changing experience.
Establish a School Endowment
Make a sound investment of US $ 120,000 per year (US $ 10,000 per month) for a 5-year period towards a better future for one of the key areas or pillars in the revitalization of India’s Medical heritage by establishing an endowment to benefit a School at TDU. Your endowed gift provides permanent support to that School and, in doing so, enables the School to look for creative research, education or outreach programs. Choosing what your endowed gift will support is simply a matter of selecting an area within a School that matches your interests. From program support to student activities, fellowships, herbal product development, establishing labs, ICT centers or student scholarships, your legacy can take almost any form.
In return for your generous donation, the School will dedicate a donor wall to the company, acknowledgement in the appropriate section of the University’s annual report, naming opportunity on infrastructure or student scholarship using this endowment and a personal note from the School Advisor on success, challenges and contribution of its works in the revitalization of India’s Medical Heritage. You will be enrolled into TDU’s Gift Club – Vice Chancellor’s Fellow recognition that will enable you to receive all the member benefits.

Matching Gift Program
TDU provides two opportunities for individuals and corporate to give matching gifts.
Opportunity 1: TDU has inherited successful pilot projects that have demonstrated its societal impact or intervention impact which encourages the primary sponsors for those projects to offer additional grant facilities to take the project to the next level of implementation. Corporate CSR funds can help develop these successful interventions into social enterprises, outreach or expand projects to programs by providing matching gifts to grants provided by primary sponsors.
Opportunity 2: A corporate matching gift is an easy way to increase the impact of an employee’s personal contribution to TDU. By taking advantage of a company’s matching gift program, employees can arrange for an additional gift that can double or triple the impact of their contribution.
In return for generous donations by employees, they will receive discounts for care and services through the University’s Integrative Hospital, a healing environment that combines the best scientific medicine with evidence-based complementary therapies, and I-AIM Executive Health, a program that provides comprehensive physical assessments and helps individuals learn how to stay healthy despite a demanding lifestyle.
