Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate Social Responsibility is a key avenue for the corporate world to commit to active philanthropy that will help address local and global issues of promoting preventive healthcare, maintaining ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, protection of national heritages, conservation of natural resources, educating women & children and livelihood enhancement. By investing your CSR fund in innovative institutions like The Institute of Trans Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU), you can stimulate innovative solutions to address those issues. The investment will also provide you with new business ideas, access to the University’s technical expertise, and opportunities for research and development collaboration. TDU has identified thematic areas as part of its strategic plan into which donors contribute. Some of these thematic areas relevant to CSR funding along with the relevant clauses these areas are legislated under Schedule VII are as listed below;

  1. Low cost safe drinking water device development [As in Schedule VII, item (i) of the Companies Act 2013]
  2. Educate and skill women folk for development of home remedies at rural and urban households to promote preventive healthcare management at household levels [As in Schedule VII, item (i) and (ii) of the Companies Act 2013]
  3. Developing a geospatially reference-able database of medicinal botanicals and a raw drug repository of medicinal parts at Taluka levels, to serve needs of conservation, health security and decentralised manufacturing of quality herbal medicine. [As in Schedule VII, item (ii) and (iv) of the Companies Act 2013]
  4. Establishing India’s largest Medical Heritage digital library where researchers can reference medical scriptures. [As in Schedule VII, item (v) of the Companies Act 2013]

TDU will work with you to arrive at SMART goals that we can achieve together and is measurable so as to ascertain the success of our engagement. While measuring social performance is challenging, we will develop tools that you can use to estimate the societal impact of you philanthropic activities with TDU.

Corporate CSR funds can help develop these successful interventions into social enterprises, outreach or expand projects to programs by providing matching gifts to grants provided by primary sponsors.
In return for your generous donation, you will receive an equivalent recognition based on the percentage of matching of the total grant fund. Based on the fund value contributed, you will also be enrolled into an appropriate TDU’s Club recognition that will enable you to receive all the member benefits of that club.

In return for generous donations by employees, they will receive discounts for care and services through the University’s Integrative Hospital, a healing environment that combines the best scientific medicine with evidence-based complementary therapies, and I-AIM Executive Health, a program that provides comprehensive physical assessments and helps individuals learn how to stay healthy despite a demanding lifestyle.
