Integrative Research for Health and Disease

A satellite event of 9th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC)

Many of the health needs cannot be effectively taken care by single healthcare/medical system, so it is globally accepted that appropriate integration of various medical sciences would lead to better health effects. India is no exception for this. Additionally, we have advantage to very strong traditional medicine in our country. Taking leads from the current social and scientific scenario, a strong integrative biomedicine fraternity can be developed.

In this regard we are proposing to conduct a workshop for develop collaborative projects. The workshop would involve the brainstorming discussions followed by formation of action groups with a few members with common scientific interest. The group would to conceive, develop and execute socially and scientifically meaningful collaborative research programs in the field of integrative health and eventually ‘One Health’. The group would be expected to develop collaborative research project proposals with an aim to cater to current global health needs. Representative project proposals would be presented in 9th WAC.

The research project would be of different areas including community/public health, lab-based and clinical research.
