Ecoscape India Medicinal Plant Nursery by TDU is a vibrant hub for conserving and cultivating diverse medicinal plants including rare and endangered species.
TDU’s Ecoscape India Nursery in its hospital campus has a capacity of 0.2 million saplings, which has over 700 species of medicinal plants for outreach and sale. The seedlings that are raised in both the conventional way and using root trainer technology are 100% organic. The nursery has mist chambers for propagation and shade houses with misting facility for special indoor plants. We have raised and distributed more than 10 lakhs medicinal plants seedlings to Home and Institutional herbal gardens in India. We also have standardized germination protocols/ propagation techniques for more than 600 species including Red Listed medicinal plants of India.
Ecoscape India medicinal plant nursery is a vital part of the mission to conserve and promote the use of medicinal plants. The nursery houses a diverse collection of medicinal plant species, including rare and endangered varieties. It serves as a living repository for these plants, ensuring their preservation and availability for future generations. The nursery also supports research and educational initiatives by providing plant material for studies and demonstrations. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in community outreach, offering training programs and workshops on the cultivation and sustainable use of medicinal plants.
