Anita is an entrepreneurial leader with multi-sector experience spanning the corporate world and the development sector. She is currently Executive Director at the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), a globally recognized not-for-profit dedicated to biodiversity conservation and sustainable, socially just development. She also serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Governors at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and on the India Advisory Board of The Nature Conservancy.Previously, Anita was part of the Group Executive Board at Mahindra Group and served as Managing Director & CEO of Mahindra Lifespaces. She played a key role in establishing Krea University. Passionate about environmental conservation, she has contributed to global initiatives, including the World Economic Forum’s 1t.org and the Food and Land Use Coalition. She also advises sustainability programs at Mahindra University and co-founded the Mahindra TERI Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Habitats.
