Dr. Debabrata Saha is a faculty in The University of Trans-disciplinary Health Science and Technology (TDU), Bengaluru and has over 22 years of research experience in restoration ecology, conservation biology, medicinal plants and their wild population status, IUCN Red List and threat assessment, community awareness and education. He has done his PhD research on Plant Ecology and NTFPs in high altitude of Western Arunachal Pradesh. However, his initial interest of research in biodiversity conservation was supported by MacArthur Foundation, USA. He has wide research experience working with G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development (GBPIHED), Almora, State Forest Research Institute (SFRI), Itanagar, FRLHT, Bangalore, MoEFCC, New Delhi, UNDP, New Delhi and Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal.
