A doctor by training and a researcher by profession, Vaidya Scientist Girish Tillu holds an M.D. in Dravyaguna Vidnyan (Ayurveda Pharmacology) and a Ph.D. in Health Sciences. He integrates traditional knowledge with biomedical research, bringing over 20 years of interdisciplinary experience. He leads the research group at the Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, focusing on innovative research, including preclinical studies and clinical trials.Dr. Girish began his research at the Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences, SPPU, as a Senior Research Fellow under CSIR’s ‘New Millennium Indian Technology Leadership Initiative.’ He later contributed to AyuSoft at CDAC and has been associated with the Centre for Rheumatic Diseases since 2002.His work spans multi-institutional drug development, epidemiological studies, clinical trials, and Ayurveda-based interventions, including COVID-19 research. He teaches courses on AYUSH systems, integrative health, dietetics, clinical trials, and bioethics.
