N. Arun Kumar is a plant explorer with over eight years of field experience across India's diverse ecosystems, from the Himalayas to the Western Ghats. His research spans forest ecology and climate change, alongside leading public plant walks to promote botanical knowledge.

With over eight years of experience in plant exploration, I have traveled across diverse landscapes, from the Western and Eastern Himalaya to the Deccan Plateau and the Eastern and Western Ghats. During my Master’s, I worked as a research assistant with an NCBS scientist, studying the edge effect in a fragmented forest and tea estate landscape in Sakleshpur, Karnataka. After completing my Master’s, I worked as a project fellow at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), researching the impact of climate change on the Juniper population in Ladakh. Beyond research, I have led plant walks in Lalbagh, Cubbon Park, and the TDU medicinal plant garden, sharing my knowledge with the public.
