Prof. Punniamurthy is a renowned expert in Ethno-Veterinary Medicine (EVM) and antibiotic-free livestock production. He served as the Founder Director (2011–2017) of the PG Diploma Course in EVM for veterinarians, jointly offered by TANUVAS and FRLHT Bangalore, successfully training 50 veterinarians.With extensive expertise in herbal medicine for livestock disease prevention and treatment, Prof. Punniamurthy is an international consultant on antibiotic-free milk, meat, and egg production. He has served as a trainer and consultant for the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.He is also an official trainer for veterinarians in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Sikkim, Haryana, and Punjab. Additionally, he has represented India as an EVM expert in the Netherlands, Portugal, Ethiopia, and Uganda under the Indo-Dutch exchange program with FRLHT and TANUVAS.
